As the Olympic torch relays its way around the UK’s major cities, town and villages, it is clear for all to see that the build-up to London 2012 is in full swing. And so are CDL’s plans for expansion to meet the requirements of its current as well as new customers for this once in a lifetime experience.
In order to meet the demands of its customers in both the lead up to and during the Olympics and Paralympics, CDL has secured an additional 30,000 sq. ft. of temporary storage space in South East London to ensure warehousing services, including pick & pack and hand finishing & kitting work, are unaffected. Furthermore, CDL has sourced an additional 20 vehicles to fulfil the distribution needs.
Customer service and warehousing and delivery teams have been expanded to ensure a 24/7 fulfillment service is provided over the next couple of months. CDL has also embraced the need to keep London moving by also undertaking night time and weekend deliveries to minimise the impact of congestion due to road closures brought about by the Olympic and Paralympic Road Networks and the millions of visitors to the Capital during this period.
