Following a thriving year in which the Queen’s Jubilee Celebration and the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympics games brought in a record number of orders for CDL, we are pleased to report that this success has continued on into the festive season. We have seen year on year growth of 32% and in the week beginning 3rd December, 10,000 more orders were picked and delivered compared to the same week in 2011.
The 2012 London games have been the highlight of the year when CDL gained a number of additional clients in the sports hospitality sector. In order to provide a bespoke fulfilment service, CDL moved to a 24/7 service, and expanded its South East London warehouse base by more than 30,000 sq. ft., taking on an additional fleet of vehicles, and numerous temporary Summer staff to provide the best service for our clients and customers.
Recently, CDL has been successful in gaining 8 new customers in the charity, pharmaceutical, and ecommerce sectors, and looks to continue the success of 2012 with growth and expansion into 2013. Our first step will be to consolidate our sites in Sidcup and Woolwich to enable a more efficient fulfilment service which will see the Woolwich site expand by 10,000 sq.ft. to 40,000 sq.ft.
This year CDL has chosen the NSPCC and The Born Free Foundation as the beneficiaries of its charitable donation for 2012.
With one day to go until Christmas, and the January sales looming, we would like to take this opportunity to wish all of our customers, clients, partners, staff, and friends, a joyous Christmas and happy New Year!
